The following was taken from the Yorkshire Regiment website

Died 4 Nov 1918. He had been born in Yarm and was living there when he enlisted in Northallerton. Lille Southern Cem, France

Yarm1914 believe that died in the 39 Stationary Hospital which was established at Fort Gassin, France between September 1918 and April 1919.This Unit had opened up in an enormous building recently occupied by the Germans as a Hospital, and it could accommodate an unlimited number of patients. Jane Ferguson married James Smidy in 1893 and was living in 1901 in Victoria Terrace, Yarm with brother William Ferguson 32 and Frank Ferguson born 1892 and James Harry Ferguson born in 1893. By 1911 the family had moved to 2 Silver Street in Yarm. Frank is acting as a labourer.
